reflection paragraph on process
When doing this research I felt angry and aggravated that abuse is so well known and acted in the U.S. When I was searching for my sites and typing my quotes it was difficult but posting the pictures was easiest for me. What I enjoyed was nothing because when you see something like abuse all you can do is get mad at the fact people do it. I disliked the hole idea of it and the excuses people use to try and get away with it. If I had to do this project again I would probably interview people to see about how they feel and how they delt with it. The next time I do a research project I will probably do it on anorexia and how people live with it.
reflection paragraph on sources
When I had searched for my answers they were very hard to find so I had to look thoroughly. The one website that helped me the most was http://www.unicef-irc.org/publications/pdf/digest6e.pdf because it tells a lot about the excuses people try to use, consequences, and obligation to the state. And in my opinion I think I found good sources that really helped and related to all of my topic's. They all answered a lot of questions I had even the ones that I did not type. Http://www.luke173ministries.org/523519 was one of the ones that was most trustworthy and displayed obvious bias. http://www.dltk-kids.com/articles/child_violence.htm definitely showed bias and was trust worthy. On this project my websites were most helpful and gave me accurate information on my subject.

reflection paragraph on findings
When I first picked this topic I thought I knew everything about it but there was a lot of information that I did not know. For example I did not know that there were so many abuse reports in Houston that were not solved. And I did not know people actually blamed economy for them abusing people. And the most important thing I learned was that there are lot of different races of people that get abused not just one but thousands. Even though multiracial is first it dose not make them weak, and I think we all as one should put a stop to abuse no matter what it takes. Because we are humans not some type of animals that can be pushed around and beaten. The most surprising thing that I have learned was that it has become a widespread and that millions of people have been reporting that they are being abused. After I have done my reports I feel that my topic is ridiculous and should not be an issue for anyone.
finding paragraph #3
From number four I learned that it is right to take precautions when dealing with abuse. But what they fail to see is the short delay that they take to get the child out of the home after they report the abuse is all the time that the person abusing them may need. If some one reports abuse then your common should tell you maybe you should get them out NOW not a day or two later. As far as the training programs go why not teach them to fight back? this site was extremely helpful and informative.
Question number five has shown me the pathetic excuses people use to abuse others and it only draws the question how? how is it economy or anyone else's fault YOU hit them? it also says political, culture, and legal are reasons as too. Well its NOT legal anywhere! if I wanted a job I'm going to go get one careless if any man tells me I can't. On page 8 line 15 it says it can happen if the partner is unemployed he thinks his power is undermined in the household? Now if you ask me that sounds a bit crazy. This only go's to show me that people who are abusive are CRAZY.

finding paragraph #2.
Number two is about how people let children and adults get away with abuse and ONLY go to jail, and never initially pay for what they have done. How come they are not made to pay the person? Or confess?
It has shown me that society lets too many people get away with too much. How come they go to jail with free food? Friends? Exercise? and counseling? Why not a dark room with depressing pictures of kids who have been abused their whole life?
Question three even gives a graph of how many ethnic backgrounds of each girl in Houston TX that gets abused. It is depressing to see how much of a widespread it is. Also from what I saw it has grown into the millions and there still is no stop. It even states that there are 6,000 to 7,000 rape kits in Houston that have STILL yet been solved if you ask me its PATHETIC, just imagine the abuse trials. Over all this site has really helped me and extended my knowledge.

finding paragraph #1
The items I found on the site is that its never okay to abuse anyone and they should be forced to stand in front of the person they did it to and say sorry, and have to see how they are after a year or two and look at what they have done based on the actions they made. It also shows me that its not fare to the victim that they live the rest of there life in pain and disgust at themselves. Especially if it is an adult with children because they would have to watch the parent suffer and feel worthless, an apology should be said and not just words but a meaningful one.

quote,paraphrase,and citation #5
"Violence against women and girls continues
to be a global epidemic that kills, tortures,
and maims – physically, psychologically,
sexually and economically. It is one
of the most pervasive of human rights violations,
denying women and girls equality,
security, dignity, self-worth, and their
right to enjoy fundamental freedoms."
It explains how the violence is such an epidemic, and how it strips a women of who she is and takes away her dignity. It is also a violation of the human rights and takes away there freedom.

quote,paraphrase,and citation #4
"Provide continuing public education and
professional training about child abuse reporting
Better—and more accurate—reporting
depends on informed laypersons as well as
professionals who are mandated to report suspicions
of child abuse.".
In this paragraph it states how we should have better protection and how people should report abuse more. As well as report if they suspect it instead of letting abuse rates go up as much as they are now.

Graph/chart/map and citation
In this pie chart is explains the age groups that are being abused in the United States. It also gives you the exact percentage that is being abused from 2006, and it was counted for at the U.S department of human services. If you look close the most common for being abused is ages 12-15 and then 4-7, which is very depressing.
quote,paraphrase,and citation #3
"Usually bullies come from middle-income families that do not monitor their activities. The parents of physical bullies are either extremely tolerant and permissive, and allow them to get away with everything, or physically aggressive and abusive."
It states how parents let there kids get away with things such as abuse with is a major thing that we should always hndel and never let occur. They also do not monitor the activities that the abusive child is doing therefore letting them be abuse towards others and family.

If you look you can tell she is depressed and is trying to find a way out of abuse but all she can do is pray. The black around her eyes indicates she has been punched and the smeared make up shows she has been crying over it. And based off what I know shes clueless that she is innocent, the only option is to get away and never look back.
quote,paraphrase, and citation #2
"The problem that we have as Adult Children is having been raised to continually overlook abuse, stuff our hurt down, not complain, and allow life to go on without upsetting the apple cart. In other words, to let our abusers get away with anything and everything, never apologize, and never take any responsibility."
This quote is about how abusers get away from hurting people and go to jail then be free and life goes on without even facing what they have caused and without apologizing to the person they have traumatised. it is also saying how it is a shame that no one takes any action for this and it makes no since why it does not change. I strongly agree because I too think it is ridiculous that this is not changed. If the government cared so much they would also have this changed, I agree 100% with what they are stating.

In this picture you can tell that she is feeling pain and wants to get away from the abuse but cannot. People should not have to go through this no matter what they have done. Kids, adults, and teens, they deserve better than to be hit for no reason and have to live with it.

quote,paraphrase,and citation #1
"Rape and domestic violence are so common that some women don’t even count slapping, pushing or shoving as an incident. According to the Associated Press, 29 million women say they have suffered “severe and frightening physical violence” such as being choked, beaten, stabbed, shot, punched, slammed against something or hurt by hair-pulling. But that number goes up to 36 million if slapping, pushing and shoving are counted."
There is a count in Houston at 29 million women who say were abused. However, if they were to count the slapping and stuff the number goes up another 36 million. If you ask me that number is far to high and should be prevented. I think the point they are trying to make in this paragraph is if the studies are so high why don't they start seprerating inmates, and make better programs to help people like this not just sit and wait for a report to make a scene out of.

In this picture the little girl wants to run but she cant because she is only a child and has no where to go and does not know what to say or who to tell. the expresion on her face indicates she does not know what she has done to be hit and cant tell whether to be mad or cry. It realates because most people who are abused feel that way.

What i want to know about my topic
The things that I would like to know about my topic is:
- Why is it mistaken for an accident?
- How is it economies problems that children are abused?
- How come we do not have better protection programs for people who are abused?
- Why is it such a widespread?
- Why do people do it?
- Why do they get away with it?
- How come they are not forced to apologize and see what they have abused?
What i alredy know about my topic
Most of what I know has come from reading books, watching law and order, doing research in science, and seeing medical terms relating to it. My old science teacher Mr.Jernagin taught me about criminal science and the ways to tell if some one is going through this issue. Some cases you can see, others are read by the emotions or personality. Many people deal with things differently and have better coping skills than others but you can almost always tell. It has been said that age makes a big difference, the older you are the more you will try to hide it. They also will have more problems academically, socially, and may grow to be in an alcohol dependent state. Majority of people who are abused have suffered from post traumatic stress disorder as well depending on how much they have been beaten in their life. I know this because I read about it once in a case where the father and mother beat their adoptive children and were arrested. It takes a lot to determine if a person suffers because they are scared of the outcome and only that person alone knows truly what happened and who the person beating them will go to the extent of doing if they tell.
The story behind my topic choice
Abuse has become a wide spread in America and it happens mostly to people who have single parents or have low income. Stress and disappointment lead to making poor parenting skills. Some single parents don’t know how far to take their actions and they result in violence. Abuse is also mistaken to be “accidental” but I have to disagree. Hearing the studies they have found on this have made me raise suggestions and conclusions as to why this happens to innocent people, yet it is in some cases an accident? I know first hand because a girl I knew suffered from abuse. She was pulled out of school because of her abusive boyfriend she previously lived with who used to hit her. When I saw her people would constantly ask about her marks, but she would make excuses to hide it and protect him. Many people have different opinions on this, but mine will always stay the same. After that experience with my friend I see how hard things can be when you’re told you were the “reason”, and it was “your fault”. Scientists have said that children who are unwanted, have medical issues, and have hyperactive disorder are most likely to be abused.
